Literary Fantasy is a niche of the Fantasy genre that mixes in elements of Literary Fiction. Usually LitFan is character driven, or is written as though it is an artifact of the secondary world it depicts. LitFan attempts to go beyond entertainment, seeking to become art rather than a product.

LitFan has been around for a long time, it is alive and well. However, "Literary Fantasy" does not appear in genre lists on popular book marketplaces. We want to change that. Right now, the most reliable way to find LitFan is to read and discover it yourself.
