Echoes & Orisons

Written by Benjamin Ray Allee; Artwork by Henrik Karppinen

In a land of secret histories and deadly stones, prayers are the least of an archivist’s worries.

On the continent of Felagren, history itself is a well-kept secret.

It is in Felagren’s northern reaches that Ollis, a young member of the mysterious Waithen Order, must investigate a deadly Artifact. It’ll be his first step toward becoming an archivist—unless the object kills him, of course.

Desperate for approval and unprepared for the trials awaiting him, Ollis travels from his scholarly home in the Waithen State to the small town of Threehill, where a band of other archivists, haunted mentors, mysterious strangers, and unseen villains will test and aid him as the Artifact’s dangers come to light.

A child pitted against ancient and unexpected evils, Ollis is no knight, ruler, or chosen one capable of turning history’s tide. Will his courage, skill, and faith be enough for his survival?

Fans of Guy Gavriel Kay’s The Fionavar Tapestry and Garth Nix’s The Old Kingdom Trilogy will feel right at home in Treehill… and pray for its survival.
